Consent to exploration drilling

Det norske has recieved Petroleum Safety Authority`s consent for drilling the well 6507/3-6 in license 383.

The operations will be carried out with the semi submersible drilling rig Bredford Dolphin. The operations is planned for in mid June 2009.

Operators must obtain consent to conduct exploration drilling. Issuance of a consent expresses the authorities’ confidence that the operator can carry out the activity within the framework of the regulations and in accordance with the information provided in the application for consent.

Det norske is the second-largest operating company on the Norwegian Continental Shelf with 27 operatorship and interests in a total of 47 licenses.
