Det norske oljeselskap ASA has selected ProArc from Software Innovation for quality assurance of documentation related to the development of the Ivar Aasen field.

ProarcDet norske will use the document management solution ProArc from Software Innovation as a tool in the quality assurance of project documentation in connection with the Ivar Aasen development.

Until the start-up of oil production, according to plan in October 2016, Det norske, as operator, estimates that the company will manage between 50,000 and 100,000 project documents in relation to a number of subcontractors.

We required a document management solution that is able to support a project of this dimension, and which can link employees in Trondheim, Oslo, London, Singapore and Sardinia together on one joint platform. We chose ProArc on the basis of functionality, price and good customer references, says Project Manager in Det norske, Asbjørn Mangerud.

Det norske requires a solution for the follow-up of document deliveries, while at the same time serving as a filing system where the large amount of information can be stored and subsequently forwarded to operations.

ProArc has already been implemented, initially to be utilized by 400 users.

The fact that the solution provided by Software Innovation has been selected by Det norske oljeselskap to be used in a development project such as Ivar Aasen makes us proud. We are pleased to have been selected as a partner for one of the largest and most ambitious operating companies, says Torstein Harildstad, CEO of Software Innovation.

Det norske is the operator of Ivar Aasen (license 001B) with a 35 percent interest share. Partners are Statoil (50 percent) and Bayerngas Norge (15 percent).
