<![endif]–>Det norske oljeselskap ASA is to become a member of OLF The Norwegian
Oil Industry Association. By joining, Det norske seeks to influence professional
activities in OLF. While taking up membership, Det norske underscores that the
company will continue to present an alternative voice in the debate concerning
Norwegian oil policy, both externally as well as internally in OLF.

Det norske has emphasized the fact that much of the professional development work in the industry takes place within the OLF framework. The company will participate actively in this work.

Cooperation between various operating companies is essential in ensuring the best  possible emergency preparedness pertaining to accidents in the oil industry. This
cooperation is strengthened through membership in OLF. Det norske is concerned
with joint solutions aimed at securing the safety of people, the environment,
and economic values.

About Det norske:
Det norske is the second-largest operating company on the Norwegian Continental Shelf with 24 operatorships and interests in a total of 46 licenses. In 2008, the company will participate in the drilling of eight to nine exploration wells, whereof
three as operator. Det norske’s scope of activities is limited to the Norwegian
Continental Shelf (NCS).
