The well encountered a water-bearing reservoir interval with properties inside the pre-drill range. This is the first exploration well in production licence 522 which was awarded in the 20th Licencing Round.

Det norske holds 10 percent in the licence after it recently divested 10 percent to Centrica Resources Norge under a cost carry agreement. Semi submersible drilling unit Aker Barents will after completion of drilling operations mobilise to the Tampen area in the Norwegian North Sea.
