Ivar Aasen grows bigger

Det norske has, together with the partners in Ivar Aasen, signed a pre-unitisation agreement with the partners in license 457. The agreement allows for a coordinated development of the discoveries and sets out principles for working towards an initial unitisation split. The agreement is signed by all involved partners and the unitisation agreement is to be decided by June 2014.

The Asha discovery is located east of Ivar Aasen in license 457 and was proven in December 2012. The volumes are estimated at between 30 and 100 million barrels of oil.

The partners in Ivar Aasen (license 0001B) are Statoil Petroleum AS (50 percent), Det norske oljeselskap ASA (35 percent), and Bayerngas Norge AS (15 percent).

The partners in license 457 (The Asha discovery) are  Wintershall Norge (40 percent), E.ON E&P Norge (20 percent), Bridge Energy Norge (20 percent) og VNG Norge (20 percent).
