VP HSE Anita Utseth Appointed Deputy Minister

Vice President HSE in Pertra AS, Anita Utseth (M.Sc.), was today appointed Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy by the Council of State. Effective immediately, Anita Utseth has resigned from Pertra AS. 

Anita Utseth is a member of the Board in Pertra AS. The Board has been notified that she withdraws from this duty with immediate effect. Notification of this has been submitted to the Brønnøysund Register Center. In addition, Anita has served as member of the Board in Pertra Management AS, and she also withdraws from this duty with immediate effect. Notification has accordingly been sent to the Brønnøysund Register Center. Neither company is listed on the stock market.

Anita Utseth holds 12% of the shares in Pertra Management AS, which again holds an owner’s share in Pertra AS. As soon as practically feasible, Anita will dispose of this shareholding, in all probability during next week. Consequently, Anita Utseth will no longer maintain any financial bonds to Pertra AS.

Anita på ekskursjonFor nearly two years, Anita Utseth has been employed as VP HSE in Pertra AS, where she has been HSE responsible for producing fields, development and modification projects, a number of drilling and well operations, and seismic acquisition. In addition, she has served as Pertra’s representative in NOFO (Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies). Anita has been a member of Pertra’s management team and Board of Directors, and has in the course of her professional activities encountered most issues related to the oil industry. All of this, in addition to her experience as Senior Engineer in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, has resulted in the Government and the Ministry now recruiting a politician with substantial professional insight as well as comprehensive experience from the oil industry to its management.
